The end of whats been long enough to grow up. | Tuesday, July 24, 2007
" 7 years have passed since my initial contact with the boy who lived. " and to think its finally the end, its rather saddening.
first and foremost, i would like to thank ginny for going through all the trouble of lining up at Carrefour on a saturday morning to get me the book while i was miserably seated in college for Moral Studies. i was supposed to head over to Carrefour after class which ended at 12 noon to see if there is any of the RM69.90s left which i must accept the fact that if there is none left. however, ginny han pulled her stunts and sms-ed me to inform me of her lining up for HP7, thus she rescued me from my disappointments xD. sigh yea, i have done reading the book. and it was out of reluctance for me to turn over to finish reading the last page as it really meant goodbye for good this round. and wow, the book is great! the suspense of the 2nd half of the book just kept me going! honestly, the harry potter novels were the first novels that i learned to like. i mean, i dont fancy enid blyton and those sort of stuffs when i was a kid. it was until standard 5 that i took a liking into reading, and it was all thanks to my buddy si wei. he kinda introduced the book to me, and i remembered i began with Prisoner of Azkaban xD how foolish of me haha. and then through the harry potter experiences, si wei and i were inspired to write our own comical stories in which we used school exercise books LOL. the days of a young and naive kid were long gone as our storyline matured as we stepped into secondary. it was unfortunate that the whole story writing thing which we so proudly began in standard 5 came to an end in form 3. i think it was due to time constraint and the different mentality each of us adapted, hmm ahh well, i tried to bring it up again in form 4 but to no avail. it was lost. aikz, i m straying from the topic xD. and yea, the book's awesome, though short but the quality of rowling's writing is still there. although rowling havent expressed an interest of continuing the series, it is understood that Deathly Hallows would be the final installment for the Harry Potter series, as the epilogue of the book kinda closed the whole thing up. and its sad T.T but like jian wei used to say, 'every beginning has an end, and every end has a new beginning.' who knows, there might be a whole new different story in the future. thus, it is farewell to the magical blings blings of harry potter.
