National Service Camp Placement 2007 | Saturday, November 25, 2006

People, I m going to Serian, Sarawak.

yup, it has been confirmed by the government's official website. i m heading to Sarawak, babeh!! n wad more? 1st BATCH!!! =)

wondering where on earth is Serian??? honestly that was my 1st thought too. you know, especially when u have frens heading off to known places such as Sibu (Shin Yi), Kuching (Ginny) and Bau (Rafferty), u tend to start cursing, lol.

anyway, looked up to it in google.

Serian, Sarawak
from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Serian is a town, and the capital of the Serian District (2,039.9 square kilometers) in
Samarahan Division, Sarawak, east Malaysia. It is located about 40 miles (65 km) from Kuching.

The town is very famous for its
durians, which are popularly believed to be the best in Sarawak. This has prompted the Serian District Council to erect a giant monument to this "king of fruits" right in the middle of the market square. The town is very well connected to its rich hinterland both by road and by water and thus one can find all sorts of jungle produce available in the jungle produce market.

The district population (year 2000 census) was 84,800. About 65% of the population are Bidayuh. The other main ethnic groups rest are Iban, Chinese, and Malay

Geography

There are many waterfalls found in Serian District. The most famous is the Ranchan Waterfall, located about 5 kilometers from Serian town and is easily accessible by road. The other one is Simuja Waterfall. It is located some 7 kilometers away from the town and also easily accessible by road.

The border village of Tebedu, recently renamed Bandar Mutiara, is located some 50 kilometers away from Serian town, but within Serian District.

Kampung Krusen is one of the many Bidayuh
kampung (longhouse village) in Serian District. It is located about 10 kilometers from Serian town. Most of the inhabitants in the 150-door kampung are Roman Catholic as they were converted some 50 years ago by the Mill-Hill Missionaries. But the Bidayuh culture and traditions are still being strongly preserved and observed. So every year, come the 1st of June, the Gawai Celebration will bring the young and old, the kampung folks and the visitors to celebrate the festival till the wee hours.
Another isolated kampung named Bidak Plaman and Bidak Mawang is located about 26 Km from town. The roughly 100 families lived there

Should be fun, i m going to a DURIAN TOWN!! yay since i love durian, this isn't gonna be such a bad idea, huh? hopefull visit dusun. wait mayb the camp itself is a dusun, LOL.

Here are the details about my camp:

-Kem Juara

KM 32 Jalan Kuching-Serian
94700 Serian, Sarawak.

Last Day of School | Friday, November 10, 2006

so ..... this is it? i mean ..... dats it???

i've just realised ... i may never hav a chance of meeting all those adorable juniors anymore! considering that on the 10.11.2006 is the last day of school for form 1 - 4 of smk usj 12. sob sob .......

Zi Peng, my beloved apprentice xD. also not forgetting my previous 2 apprentices, Haranoop and Yi Jie ... gonna miz them.

waaaaa .................. I MISS EVERYONE ALREADY!!!

it didnt even feel like 'the last day of school' to me for the 1st time in my life since std 1. heck, i felt nth. but after returning home .... i started to sulk. to think that i never got the chance to wish everyone a happy holiday ..... was regretful. sigh...

only got to wish a handful of them as i made my way towards the school gates (as if i might never come back). met Yi Koon while she was locking the form 5 classes, ran up to her and wished her. along the way, met Shanggar, wished him as well, the fact that he's goin to be the only Chelsea fan left in the Prefect Board since Ying Wei is also making his exit this year, kinda pity him. bumped into Su Ann after that, wished her and she replied with her ever cheerful smile and wished me luck for spm. Thanks Su Ann! =)

5 years in smk usj 12. another chapter is about to end. its time to bring the curtains down. bid farewell to lifelong friends as we depart on our own path. after this ...... cant believe there's no more attending lessons in those classrooms in either Cemerlang or Bitara Block. Messing around in those science labs in Dinamik Block. Mingling with teachers in the teachers' office in Aulia Block ... or even buy food from our 'wonderful' canteen or lepak in the Twelveans' Paradise. never hav to conduct spot checks or go through spot checks before making our way back to class ......

...................................... sigh.

Anyway, to those who are not sitting for SPM 2006, i would like to take this oppurtunity to wish u all a WONDERFUL HOLIDAY. we will join u after the 4th of December xD.

we will meet again. i hope.

Finish Line | Friday, November 03, 2006

Here it is. The finish line.

How does it feel to u guys? to finish another chapter in our life. i know i hav been repeating this, but heck everyone does, 'WOW, TIME FLIES!!!' i mean ... yea it does. the world is rotating even as we speak ... yea yea blah blah ....

the end of the line, as i was used to refer graduation to it. 5 years. 5 YEARS in smk usj 12. from the 2nd year our school began operating, well that was in 2002 till now, 2006. our school .... the safest school in malaysia, the most sought after school in the usj area bsides seafield. i m already starting to miss school. not that i agree with everything the school did for the last 5 years, i too hav my own disagreements, but i think sumtimes the school is juz doin wad's best for its students.

hmm i dont feel this way when i was stil in lick hung. probably to the fact that i was stil very immature xD yea perhaps so. but to c how established lick hung is now ... cant stop making me proud to say that ... i was a student of lick hung! anyway ..... i hav no idea wad i m trying to say anyway. juz feel like pouring it out.

smk usj 12. who knows mayb in another 5 years might flourish into one of the top schools in malaysia .... or for the worse. no one knows actually. but nevertheless, i m very proud to say that i m a TWELVEAN! from the bottom of my heart. no matter how dissatisfied u are with ur school, at the end of the day ...... when ur finally leaving it, u might find urself hard to say goodbye. human nature? haha.

stil deciding wher to go next year ..... oh noesss i hav to attend NS. dang. haha ... nah, hav a feeling it wil b fun! well ... hopefully. hehe.

2moro's our graduation day. Sunway University College's Multi-purpose Hall. and after dat ..... one more week of NORMAL SCHOOLING DAY.

adios amigos and to my beloved alma mater.

Signed,
Ravin3z
