" One word. ROXXORZ! "
it's one hell of a show.

It has been the year of many mind blowing movies and more yet to come, but this show .. hoho! it gave even greater satisfaction than those of Pirates of The Carribbean and Shrek the Third.

alright i admit i aint a hardcore fan of the Transformers, but one thing which is real is that i grew up watching Transformers. Along the way, similar child cartoons emulated the idea such as The Beast Wars, and of course back then i watched Beast Wars much more then Transformers, therefore i always have the tendency to mix up both of them. haha.

but this year. yes, Michael Bay revived the image of The Transformers in many of the growing adults. It came to me that when i watched the preview, 'woahh, this is gonna be good!' and then it brought back memories of the past, haha where i would just sit quietly in the living hall and my parents would turn on the television and The Transformers cartoons would be screened in the morning on TV1 or TV2 (now RTM 1 and 2) i couldnt recall which channel exactly.

the Transformers franchise had been there since the 80's and was very much forgotten due to the long period of inactivity in the local media.

heck, there will be constant BANG throughout the movie, more to it if you watching in THX. and perhaps if its screened in IMAX. you will hunger for more as the battles of the droids rained down like thunderstorm. i was savouring every moment of it! awww the joy of decepticons crushing the autobots. the transformation sounds when they switch forms. the exploding gun fires.

i was astounded.

anyway, go watch the movie. Its okay if you do not know who Optimus Prime is. yes when i was watching Fantastic Four several weeks ago, i overheard some girls sitting a row infront of me, chattering 'hah?? Marvel is a comic ar?' -.-" oh well.

haha.

If you love Transformers. go watch the movie. If you dont love Transformers, also go watch the movie. xD it will be a worthful 2hrs and 21mins.

quote Optimus Prime "Autobots, transform and roll out! "

Celcom vs Digi | Wednesday, June 27, 2007

"what do you get when two telecommunication powerhouses go head to head?"
since most of my friends are maxis users, lets stay outta this shall we? xD

do you realise how aggresive Digi has been lately? coming up with different types of advertisements to attract new suscribers and all. well anyway, i stumble upon this video thanks to ying wei who kindly showed it to me.

i laughed my head off.

so conclusion? xD fellow digi users, beware of the celcom users. they will step on u LOL.
but then again they might not just step on you ....

wahhahahaha. no offense to digi users. these are just for entertainment purposes. xD

Picasa Joys | Tuesday, June 19, 2007

" Picasa is actually quite fun to toy with. "

incase you have never heard of Picasa, it is a program by google for photo editing and sortings. it is not as complicated as adobe photoshop, it only provides basic photo editing tools. but there was one of the functions that is quite fun to play with is the collage tool.

the photo grid from the collage combines 2 or more pictures into what looks like a chequered box which can make a good collage if u combine the right amount of pictures and the suitable elements. but of course there are also the photo stack, contact book and the multi exposure.

of course the multi exposure has made its way into my favourites list.

remember glenmarie cove? yea when i was taking a stroll by the lake, i came across this structure above the lake which was the management office or so i heard. the greeneries around would definitely make a good picture, and so i took 2 pictures from two different view.

and out of boredom, i combined both of them into one. yes, this is the effect of the multi exposure. and this, the scenery picture is currently the wallpaper of my phone.

and with further testing, i found these pictures which were taken during our SPM results day by christopher's camera then. there were two. i combined them. wow. the group expanded. haha.

and then, it was back to the pictures taken in cheng's house. the row of liquors at the mini bar of her house kitchen provided the dSLR users for some macro shots. i took two shots using the K800i. and then i combined them hahaha.

and of course i did this for the birthday girl, as i scout through the pictures, there were a few that i found that would make a good collage, i tested out with a few and only this i found it pretty satisfying.

ahh yes. happy birthday, cheng!

ok so, interested with the functions? u can downloaded it via the google search engine. just type 'picasa' in the search bar and u can find your way through the whole process after that.

ok now i will have to figure out how can i pass the remaining 2 weeks of my semester break. i have gotta admit, its starting to get boring. =/

p.s. jian wei's blog will be shut down at the moment due to ongoing blog renovation and will be reactivated for viewing pleasures on july 13th. we apologise for any inconvenience. we are he is building for a better tomorrow. =)

Glenmarie Cove, Klang. | Monday, June 18, 2007

" Journey's far, but it was all well worth the trip. "
brace yourself, its gonna be a long one.

it was Cheng's house warming party as she has just moved into her new house at Glenmarie Cove in Teluk Gong. at the same time, her family decided to throw in the birthday celebrations as well. and so i was invited, by my sifu. haha!

at 4pm, chris, ying wei, giju and i started our journey towards the unknown as we have never been to the place and we were only provided with a minimap along with the invitation card. approx 30minutes drive, we made a wrong turn into some shoplots as the signboard leading into the area was pretty misleading, but no complains we made it to the right place at last. the guards at the guardhouse were actually saluting us! wow.

along the journey, chris has just gotten his Canon EOS 400D while ying wei was with his Nikon D80. and so the conversation goes ...

Chris and Ying Wei : *throwing camera facts at each other*
Me : aikz, i only have my Ixus 40. sad case betul kena pawned.
Giju : *looks at me* wow mine is better. *takes out motorola phone* mine VGA.
All : LOL.

note: picture from cheng's digital camera.

we were the firsts to arrive despite the time for the party to began was 6pm as stated on the invitation card. but well we were enthusiastic about the day and with two dSLRs ready for some hot actions, we decided to hit the road early, and tada we were there and we took a group photo.

ok so, we reached the area and cheng brought us for a walk around the lakeside.

the atmosphere around the area was fantastic and so was the scenery. of course, being dSLR users, chris and ying wei were flashing their cameras around shooting stuffs. then this management lady came up to us and sent us a warning that cameras are strictly off limits which then later followed by a guard issuing us another warning . =.=

ok. right. no cameras. crap they thought we are some competitors trying to steal their layout ideas of the area. ahh so being a prosumer camera user, i now have the advantage of taking sneak shots lol. the above house was owned by a south african, who also owns 3 houses in total in the area. dang. -.- blardy rich asses. xDDD.

the concepts of houses are similar to that of Sri Damai. yes, also without gates and fences. well okay, certain parts there are no gates or fences. but areas like the above, they have. i guess they could actually build it themselves if they want to.

anyway, fast forward back to cheng's house. we were having a mini camwhoring modeling session. since chris and ying wei looked like some professional photographers with the dSLR, they just played along with the role. ahh well, with ixus 40 ... do i look like i will miss out on the opportunity xD.

it was a miracle none of our camera lenses break as cheng is very well known for her camwhoring skills xDDD haha. the car shots were pretty satisfying, i dont know i found it pretty nice. and yea that's cheng's myvi if ur wondering lol. after all that we took a group picture with chris being the cameraman.

giju. cheng. me. ying wei. *taken using christopher's EOS 400D*

there were a total of more than 70 guests who were present, of course the total amount consists of cheng's college friends and us and mainly relatives and parents' friends. some of our friends couldn't made it due to some last minute blockages.

and so we went back into the house to take a more detailed look at the interior of the house. it was actually quite beautifully decorated, it managed to give a homely feeling and it definitely felt comfortable. the kitchen especially xD food's the way to a man's heart. LOL damn right.

the last one was taken with the K800i where i was switching between cameras to compare the differences in the sharpness and all. apparently the K800i pictures looked sharper than the Ixus 40's, but this might be due to the smaller screen size of the LCD. anyway, i remained with the ixus as the K800i was for emergency purposes just incase the ixus ran out of battery or storage spaces. the ixus also provides me a better grip as well.

and so we went upstairs. cheng personally brought us on an entourage to her room. no pictures here as her privacy must be respected. anyway, there was another living room outside of her room. we remained there for the time being and another photo shooting session took place.

then i decided to switch my attention onto the other two.

yes, the two professionals of the night.

oh no, they've spotted me. xD

after a long chat and shooting, we finally decided to go out and catch some fresh air. cheng's elder sister mum gave us the green light to start devouring feasting. and so we took our places and took turns to grab our food by the table. since it was a catering style, so basically everything was buffet. no pictures of food. lol storage space was pretty limited therefore i shall not waste it on food roflmao. anyway, the food was great. =D

*stares at cheng* ok la certified tak tahu guna dSLR *cop cop!* hahahahah xDDD. eh joke wei cheng, jangan chop saya! lol. kk we shall aim for dSLRs. haha!

rafferty and kher jie arrived while we were half way enjoying the food. after greeting the birthday girl, they came over to join us. and so they too went off to grab their share of the food.

finally it was time for the traditional ritual to kick in.

the sing-birthday-song-make-wish-blow-candles-cut-cake ceremony. the design was indeed unique as it was a combination of two different cakes into one single fray. both were chocolate cakes, only the bottom one was white chocolate.

i wish for a white knight with the looks of brad pitt and taiwanese hot hunks who would go against all odds and ride against the wind all the way from the far west to glenmarie cove, klang and rescue me and we shall live happily ever after.

ok that was basically crap. xD

we took a break from photo takings after that and we rejoined the others to catch up on each others' recent encounters and activities and of course the discussion of several current issues and sports news.

the night wasn't over as cheng once again brought guests upstairs, only difference was this time, it was a whole lot bunch which includes the four of us, raff, kher jie and all her college friends.

the ones i went with.

i still think ying wei somehow looked like a runaway convict xD which rafferty then added 'with a stolen camera' LOL. we then went downstairs to join in the excited atmosphere created by cheng herself as she was to open her presents lol.

the collaboration of funds by me and ying wei.

the sweat and blood of a caring friend, chris.

the joint efforts of a bunch of wacky college mates.

there were of course more pictures but i guess the post is getting abit too long here, ahaha shall skip the others =D we then went for night walk towards the lakeside. we made it to the piers this time where several yatchs were attached.

i took this from the pier with the aid of the side pole for more stability of the shot. i looked at it and thought that the place looked like we were under some alien invasion lol. and you know, Sinking of Japan those sort of stuffs hahaha. anyway, thats the most the ixus can go and it still couldnt work well at night. maybe i wasnt good at operating it. which clearly shows .... i need a dSLR too -.- ok wait, maybe a semi-pro camera is sufficient. aaaarrgh, i m confused lol. but its definitely time for an upgrade for the ixus 40.

we went back to cheng's house after the short chat at the pier. it was pretty scary as there were no barriers at both sides which means any accidents of pushing may result in any of us falling off into the lake. aikz, i really dont want that to happen lol.

a group picture of ex-SMK USJ 12 students to mark the end of the day.

we went home at 11pm. the original scheduled time for us to go home was 10pm but apparently there was a delay (my parents were responsible for sending us back) and we ended up going home late. but i have gotta agree ... it was fun.

thanks for the invite, cheng. and err ... happy birthday! =)

of bak kut teh and bukit rimau | Wednesday, June 13, 2007

" the day has been the best yet so far this year ... "

the bak kut teh plan was finally able to go on as planned despite the pulling out of several girls due to last minute decisions. anyway, 6 boys were left succeeding the plan. lmao.

just incase u guys were wondering, bak kut teh is a typical chinese favourite which is a type of stew pork with herbs.

waited with kay sim in the Subang KTM station at 10.30am. missed the first train and was in time to hop aboard the next. a ticket to Klang cost RM2! ohmegosh, its more expensive than the fare to KL Sentral @.@ and the distance between KL Sentral and Subang is definitely greater than that of Klang. -.-

the journey took about 20minutes and finally we reached our destination. without further delay, we got off and was greeted by jun xiong outside in his myvi. and off we went to Teluk Pulai Restaurant in Taman Rashna. edmund, chin yip and ivan were all on their way towards the destination as we were making our way there.

bak kut teh was brief and nice, which explains why i had completely forgotten about taking any pictures! xD as i was also the one 'tuang-ing' teh. LOL.

anyway, since it was an all gays guys outing, we made no hesitation to draft out the plan for the day, we made our way to Centro Starbucks to chill out beforehand and decide on the next move.

the cafe was quiet, which made it a perfect place to chill out after a crowded and noisy and smelly bak kut teh restaurant.

there was even time for emo sms-ing!

we discussed about any further holiday plans which will probably utillise our 3 weeks long semester break to its maximum limit. and one was to immediately run away from house spend the whole day out of house, and therefore off we went to jun xiong's house all the way in Bukit Rimau.

about approx 30 minutes drive, we arrived at his house. with all our mouths flunged wide open.

the exterior of his house matched those of overseas. without any gates or fences as it is a heavily guarded housing area. guards could be seen patrolling the area with bicycles every few minutes. Sri Damai. anyone knows?

the interior is superb man. with a total of 6 rooms, a mini outdoor garden in the middle of the house, a super large kitchen and 2 living rooms made the house looks homely and comfortable.

this is the view from one of the bedrooms, obviously the area isnt completed yet. as you can still see debris of construction work at the bottom left of the picture.

we succeeded our initial plan, which was to have edmund to bring his PS2 multitap to jun xiong's house and have all 5 controllers plugged in, and enjoy a few rounds of non stop raping pummeling each other in a game of wrestling. whoa, i didnt know 5-people-royal rumble could be so gay fun! haha, imagine having each other gang up to whack on some AI and only to find that ur one of the next target, and the pummeling continues till there's only one man standing hahaha.

i won the game once. ivan won it once. edmund won it twice. kay sim won it twice. haha the host was the only unlucky one, having won none after having his only good chances spoilt by edmund. LOL.

anyway, we went out for dinner at 7pm around kota kemuning. and made our way back to our respective homes after the feast.

many thanks for the ride home, jun xiong!

Seventeen Magazine Summer Splash 2007 | Sunday, June 10, 2007

" swim suits are for amatuers! xDDD "

ok ok just ignore the quote, saja nak main ni haha! and so we resume our photo hunt.

edmund and i were regretting over the fact that none of us had the guts to get to know any girls around there, lol! aiya, semua untuk display saja. swt. after exam, must release stress abit, so crap talking is a must xD

whoa! talk about suicide, this kid was buried by his friend while he took his nap.

aikz. the whether started to show signs of a storm coming. which will definitely ruin the atmosphere.

saw the crowd? o.o

and for the meantime, steven managed to hook up with some chiqs friends!

check this out! check this out! couples 'side' activity taking place live! lmao.

Summer Hunks Competition. o.O

it started to rain at 4pm. which had everyone running for shelter. it wasnt very heavy but enough to keep u drenched. still, malaysians love rain. so many were still out there enjoying themselves. we found ourselves hiding in some refugee camp taking more snap shots from within.

we finally decided to leave when there is nothing else left to discover and i parted ways with chris and steven since they were headed for pyramid for food.

and so thats all for the Seventeen Magazine Summer Splash. =D
