Orientation? Haha. | Friday, January 05, 2007

Oh. My. God. ..... was the only three words i could use to sum up today's CAT orientation.

the whole registration thing started at 9am, i was informed that everything will start at 10am. so i woke up 7.50am being nervous n excited abt how my first day will be. Reached SyUC at abt 9.30am and i met up with well ... so called waiting for me ppl xD (Si Wei, Ee Leen, Michelle, Shin Yi and two other new friends i made, Felicia and Yoon Siong). Registered at the counter upon arriving and i found out i was being sorted into Group 3, along with Ee Leen and Jian Wei. Yay! Michelle and Shin Yi got sorted into Group 1 .. aikz, T_T

anyway, we made our way towards Auditorium 7 at around 10.30am to listen to briefings, well more or less let us to know more about Sunway University College. Do's and Don'ts ... Security and Safety ... Library ... Student Services ... etc etc. it ended at 12.30noon cause local students were dismissed earlier as the international students have to stay on for some more regarding insurance i think @.@

Cafeteria. Gosh! Fried Rice with Egg, RM2.70! basket! @#$%!$#%$^!$#$@ ...... ahem. expected haha. thought it was goin to be RM5 per day haha. Jian Wei's mixed rice was abt RM3 consists of chicken, veggie and taufu. Met up with Melissa and Hooi Leng, who are studying MUFY. Next briefing was about 2pm. Hung around in the Student Services Department to get some info regarding Leadership Bodies.

Continued on with the programme briefing by Mr. Teo Ee Sing himself, the director of the Financial Courses Division. before that, we got lost as the next briefing required us to go into the Monash Block, xD. but found our way ... but wasted some time as the coordinator gave us the wrong information -.- proceeded back down to Auditorium 7.

These are our textbooks.

For the first semester, we will be doing 5 papers, so that makes it 5 textbooks. Paper 1 (Recording Financial Transactions), Paper 2 (Information for Management Control), Paper 3 (Maintaining Financial Records), Paper 4 (Accounting for Costs) and Paper 5 (Managing People and Systems).

This is the thickness of our lovely textbooks .... @.@

Lovely, aren't they? NOT! gosh i have no idea how freaking heavy are they, talk about History Textbook -.-"

and of course obeying the rules at the same time is essential for our stay throughout the semester at SyUC.

well we got our time tables at the end of the day. turns out the Group 3 classes are all scheduled in the AFTERNOON!!!!!! wtf ..... and Group 1 classes are all in the morning. What more? they have a day break!! They only have classes on Tuesday - Friday. While we Group 3 ppl have classes EVERYDAY! the difference is here ... Group 1 have about 2-3 papers per day, while we ... u can call us the leisure group, only have one paper per day, 2 on wednesday. So considering the thickness of our textbooks, u could say we are the lucky ones =.= but then ..... argh .... NO BREAK?! There is class on Saturday as well, for Malaysian Studies -.- great .... 9am - 12pm, at least all the same, lol.

Our classes averagely starts at 1-2pm. n ends around 5-6pm. O.O"

anyway .... might wanna join the Student Council Body and the Editorial Board for the writing post. xD have to go through a string of interviews though. stil considering to join -.-

Will be facing our first Progress Test for Paper 1 n Paper 2 at the end of this month, and then Progress Test 2 for the same papers on the 10th of February, aikz. Trials will be held for the both paper at the 1st week of March and then the actual exam for them the week after. Computer-based examinations, multiple choices i think and then paper 3,4 and 5 will be externally assessed at the 1st week of June. n of course Progress Tests and Trials in between.

Woo wish me luck! 1st class on the 8th, 1pm - 5pm on Paper 2. adios.

P.S. - after much surveying in the auditorium, i found out a disturbing fact -.-" ... it seems i m the only boy who dyed his hair. forget the girls =.=

@.@ budak khas ke2 shared his wisdom! 8:47 PM
