Friendship, a bond between mankind,
is a ship that will never sink if it's strong,
but how many have sink in our daily lives?
will it ever last for eternity?
Look back and think, how many have sailed with you?
and how many have survived with you till this very day?
I juz realised, its not a matter of quantity,
its the amount of trust and faith you add in this chemistry of life.
Larger quantities doesn't provide you true friends,
what exactly are true friends?
the question lies floating in my mind,
have i been true enough to my fellow friends?
Friends affect your daily lives even as u speak,
they are suppose to be there for you,
supporting you, mentally and physically,
that's the perception of a true friend for me.
However, i have a friend,
who have been sailing alongside me since primary,
and i hav always treated him like my mate,
supporting him physically and mentally, like a true friend i say,
But, true isn't what lies in between us anymore,
Is dat what u call, the ship is sinking ...
I have no idea what went wrong,
dat is it his problem or mine alone?
having him around doesn't make me comfortable anymore,
why? why? i asked myself, over and over again,
i don't want to look fake infront of people,
that just doesn't seem right in a true friend's point of view.
Stopping the ship from sinking is what i tried to do last year,
but i found out recently, i have lost the spirit in doing so anymore.
I just don't .... just don't feel right anymore.
but am i to let in sink further into the unknown? the answer is i don't know.
The end of the line is near, soon i will be spreading my wings,
in this broad land of education, who would know wher i will be landing?
with new friends pouring in my life, will i be able to salvage what's left,
in the ship i am trying so hard so hard to save?
End of the line ... so fast time flies, thinking of separating just hurts me so much,
cherish everyone beside me and care for those i cared is what i must do,
for there will be no more turning back.
Friends ... cherish them.
